Numero Uno!

Hello people! This is my first time starting a blog, and a fashion-themed one at that. I will be reviewing clothes and shoes and bags found on the internet, and also show some of my purchases, from the past and hopefully, from the future :D

For this first post, let me start off with talking more about myself. I am currently residing in Singapore. Given this country's hot climate, it would seem like it is a total mismatch with my dressing style, which would be to create a layered look that would include cardigans and jumpers. Hence, I would try to vary my style to include lightweight materials so that the layering would not cause high levels of perspiration and thus, result in unsightly patches of sweat on the clothes. Not cool at all. Two layers for the top should be the maximum one should go when going out for a stroll along Orchard Road, or catching a movie at Cineleisure. Three layers would be the maximum if one is attending a wedding dinner (or anywhere with constant contact with air-conditioning), though for a wedding dinner and other evening functions, a popular 3 layer top would be the three piece suit

Layering comes in two forms for me. Firstly, it can create a smart casual look, as seen in this picture below.
Tailored Shirt, Cardigan & Chinos from Banana Republic, Tie from Zara, Watch from DKNY

This look is perfect for an evening function that is not too strict on the dress code, such as a wedding dinner, or a housewarming party. Going for an interview with this attire will also leave a lasting impression on the interviewers, as you would be dressing differently from the majority, that would be dressed in a long-sleeved shirt, tie, and office pants. The green cardigan and brown slim tie not only add colour to your outfit, but also show that you are not only serious about the interview, but also confident about your dress sense to be able to show some colours in your attire. For the chinos, it is a great alternative to office pants and jeans. However, a pair of dark jeans would also be a good choice if the person chooses to go with jeans. Main point: Make sure it fits nicely, not too tight, nor too baggy.

This is also a great outfit in terms of functionality. After a day's work on casual Friday, you can simply pull out the tie and unbutton the top 2 buttons and go for drinks with your colleagues. Simple yet stylish.
A second look layering would create would be a casual style, as seen below

Cardigan from volta @ Orchard Cineleisure, T-shirt from Crocodile, Shorts from Collage @ Orchard Cineleisure, Necklace from Agnes b.

Pullover from Gant, Cardigan from Banana Republic, Shorts from Options @ AMK HUB, Sunglasses from Agnes b.

These outfits are perfect for shopping trips around Paragon and Takashimaya, or catching the latest movie with your friends. This kind of attire would be totally different from the usual "T-shirt-and-jeans" look that many Singaporean guys like to don, possibly due to how easy it is to put on, and its always a safe choice, though slightly boring.

As you can see from the second picture, the green cardigan is the same one as before with the smart casual look, showing how versatile these pieces can be. The pullover from Gant is also used as a long-sleeved base T-shirt in the second picture, exhibiting another way for a V-neck jumper to be worn. These pieces are definitely worth the price in this economic recession. Choose pieces that come in colours that are able to match with majority of your wardrobe, to maximise its usage, and thus result in a lower price per use (the magical formula used by many shoppers to determine whether a piece is worth buying, which is found by dividing the price by the estimated number of times the piece would be worn :P).

That's all for now, here is Mr. Intrecciato signing off the first post,
Ciao! (:
