Today, let us see which 5 items you shouldn't be spotted wearing in town.
1) Crocs: Yes these colourful plastic slippers may be comfortable, but they look hideous when you pair them with jeans or a pair of shorts. They show that the wearer just does not care about his dressing style when he walks down the street wearing a pair of Crocs. Keep this at home please.
2)Beach Slippers: They are called beach slippers for a reason. They belong by the sea, not at the cafe. There are more appropriate alternatives that are more dressy and less sloppy, such that you can wear to town, and not have to worry about comfort.
3)Singlets: Yes, Singapore is a very hot place, with temperatures reaching an egg-boiling 36 degrees recently. Yet, there's no reason to wear a singlet to town. A simple plain T-shirt would be more appropriate, yet just as much sweat reducing. Keep them at home or to beach parties!
4)Cargo Bermudas: Unless you are a breakdancer or a construction worker, I don't see how cargo berms would be your style. Stick to the basic, slim fit shorts that has 3 or 4 pockets, with 2 at the front and 1 or 2 at the back. There's no need for so many pockets as seen from a pair of cargo berms. Putting so many items in so many pockets also sags your shorts and makes it hideous. Get a bag!
5)Tight Fitting clothing: Slim fit clothing is good, but too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. Tight fitting clothing would involve clothing that literally give no space for your skin to breathe in, and all parts of your body can be seen, which I shall not describe further, just that not everyone wants to see every part of your body.
