Mr. Intrecciato Saw #7: Agnes b. Summer 2009 Collection

Saw the Agnes b. Summer 2009 collection on the Agnes b. website, and I must say, Agnes never fails to please me. The collection is filled with casual looks with a French flair, with fitted suits, jackets and hats to top it off. Below are some of my favourite looks from the collection.

I like how the muted top, consisting of a cardigan and a sweater of the same colour and with the same colour trim, is contrasted with the plaid trousers, and to add a funky twist to the outfit, a lime green belt is placed. What I do not understand is how the cardigan can be shaped like that when only one button is buttoned. I tried with my own cardigan and it still didn't work, even though it was already a size S, when I am a size M. The cardigan in the picture also does not look to be too shrunken so I don't think an XS would help me pull off the look. The mystery stays unsolved.

This smart casual outfit seems applicable in Singapore, with the white bermudas. The navy blouson is half-zipped to reveal a black and white striped tie, where a lightning bolt is subtly placed in the middle, the only hint that this is Agnes b. Perfect for an afternoon tea with friends.

This outfit screams rocker chic with the navy chintz wool jacket and trousers that provide that shimmery look. An equally shimmery loosely tied grey tie on the navy and white striped shirt completes the look.

The checkered pattern on the suit is not too bold and overpowering, and the red tie adds a touch of colour to the perfect outfit for a candlelit dinner with a sea view, followed by a stroll down at the beach, when you are holidaying at Hawaii or Phuket.

Problem is, I am quite sure Singapore will not bring all of the collection in, and the price will be jacked up significantly. Just take a look at their logo tees, which has risen from SGD$95 a year back, to SGD$125. Shall consider when I take a trip down to their outlets the next time.

(P.S.: I will be busy for the next month or two, so the posts will not come so often. Please bear with me guys, I thank you for all the support so far! :D)

(That said, Isetan is having their Private Sale this Thursday, the 14th of May. Can't make it as I am not free, but enjoy yourselves people!)

  2. the tie is adorable- very quaint and gallic.

can i just say that i think agnes b is not reaching the nyc clientele as it should since, buried in e16th street a lot of their target marketing wouldn't be able to randomly run into the place unless they were enroute to union square. it'd be nice if something were done!

now come to think of it not far away paul smith is quite misplaced too! its neighbours are j.crew and bebe? i don't think that's right. I should be moved up to madison!
