Mr. Intrecciato Reviews #2: Lanvin F/W 09 Accessories and Shoes

Browsed through Selectism and came across the pictures for the latest accessories and shoes from Lanvin. First, the accessories:

The gold bag with suede trims caught my eye almost immediately when I came across the pictures. Never a fan of suede, as the large amount of rainfall in Singapore would mean more care needed for material, this is a first for me to like something that contains suede. The gold material (is it canvas or leather?) is simply attractive, literally. Bring it along as your stroll around town and passersby will simply "Stop and Stare" (cue OneRepublic's hit song) . The matte suede provides a strong contrast with the shiny golden material. This is one piece that I am keen to find out more about. I like the sunglasses too, especially the two that are of the same model but different colour variations. The Gold/Grey variation looks great, while the White/Orange one is just as eye-catching. These sunglasses would prove to be a great quirky addition to your outfit.

Moving on, the Footwear collection. Lanvin is famous for utilizing luxe materials on conventional designs. This could be seen from the patent leather toe cap sneakers and high tops from the past collections. However, they always cost as much as a nuclear warhead, and I have sadly, not been able to add one to my shoe collection yet. Not really feeling this season's collection. Not really into the thick sole. Having said that, these shoes still caught my eye. The classic derby shoes are given a pop of colour, along with a wooden sole. Simple yet sexy. Another shoe was the high top which had details of a boat shoe, including boat shoe laces! I like this Brown/Orange variation as the bright orange contrasts against the brown high top. Love the detailing of the shoe and how the laces go around the high top.

The Lanvin F/W 09 footwear collection contains mainly high tops, included one embedded with matchsticks in the same way as the ties, and shin-high boots, and most of them have this thick unusual sole. Not really my type. Check out the rest of the collection here
